List of Countries with the Highest Worker Productivity in the World in 2022: How Does Indonesia Compare?

Labor productivity is the ability of the workforce to produce goods. The more productive the workers in a country, the greater the goods or output produced by that country.

Based on data from the International Labour Organization (ILO), Luxembourg has the highest labor productivity in the world, reaching US$128.1 per hour. This means that one worker in Luxembourg can contribute US$128.1 per hour to the national economy.

Ireland ranks second with the highest labor productivity at US$122.2 per hour. Singapore is next with productivity of US$73.7 per hour.

Labor productivity in the United States is recorded at US$70.6 per hour. This is followed by labor productivity in Switzerland and Norway at US$69.7 per hour and US$69.1 per hour, respectively.

Meanwhile, labor productivity in Indonesia is only US$13.1 per hour. This figure places Indonesia 107th out of 185 countries. The Maldives is ranked the same as Indonesia.
