The Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) has proposed an additional budget of Rp3.56 trillion for 2024. This additional budget is intended to manage infrastructure and facilities to be received from other ministries/agencies.
The Head of the IKN Authority, Bambang Susanto, explained that the largest portion of the proposed budget, Rp2.17 trillion, is allocated to the Deputy for Infrastructure and Facilities.
The details are as follows: Rp893.71 billion will be used for the development and construction of housing and settlements, specifically for the construction of 4 apartment towers for IKN Authority employees. Previously, the housing plan for 16,990 civil servants did not include provisions for IKN Authority employees.
Furthermore, Rp587.45 billion is allocated for the operational and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities, encompassing IKN infrastructure development and estate management in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).
An additional Rp347.18 billion is proposed for the development of infrastructure and transportation management programs, Rp18.14 billion for basic infrastructure sectoral planning programs, and Rp2 billion for social infrastructure sectoral planning programs.
Additionally, Rp864.39 billion is proposed for programs under the Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation, and Rp457.20 billion for the Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources.
Further budget additions of Rp57.44 billion are proposed for the Deputy for Social Culture and Community Empowerment, and Rp15.03 billion for the Deputy for Planning and Land.
Bambang also explained that the IKN's 2024 budget allocation is Rp434 billion. However, Rp21.7 billion has been blocked by the Ministry of Finance to comply with the automatic adjustment policy.
