The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) has opened 572,496 positions for prospective civil servants (ASN) or civil servants (PNS) in 2023.

The selection process for civil servant candidates (CPNS) 2023 will open in September 2023.

According to the official website of the Ministry of PANRB, the 572,000 positions will be allocated to 72 institutions. 78,862 positions are allocated for central government and 493,634 for local governments.

For central government CASN positions, 28,903 are for CPNS and 49,959 for Government Employment Contract Workers (PPPK).

For local governments, 296,084 positions are allocated for PPPK teachers, 154,724 for PPPK health workers, and 42,826 for technical PPPK.

Minister of PANRB Abdullah Azwar Anas stated that this year's ASN recruitment focuses on recruiting teachers and health workers.

"Almost 80% of the 2023 positions are allocated for teachers and health workers," said Anas at the 2023 ASN Procurement Preparation Coordination Meeting in Jakarta on Thursday (3/8/2023).

He also said that this ASN position allocation will focus on recruiting non-ASN or honorary workers because they have served in government institutions.

"We guarantee that everything is fair; there will be no favoritism. We hope that ASN can produce impactful performance that can be felt by the community, in accordance with President Joko Widodo's directives," explained Anas.
