BPS: Daily Nominal Wage of Farm Laborers October 2022 Increased by 0.32 Percent

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the national nominal daily wage for farm laborers in October 2022 increased by 0.32 percent compared to September 2022, rising from Rp58,760.00 to Rp58,946.00 per day.

Meanwhile, the real wage for farm laborers increased by 0.65 percent compared to September 2022, from Rp51,447 to Rp51,784.

According to BPS, the nominal wage of laborers/workers is the average daily wage received by laborers as compensation for work performed. The real wage of laborers/workers reflects the purchasing power of the income/wage received.

The real wage of farm laborers is the ratio between the nominal wage of farm laborers and the rural household consumption price index, while the real wage of construction workers is the ratio of the nominal wage of construction workers to the urban consumer price index.

BPS also reports that the nominal daily wage for construction workers (non-foremen) in October 2022 increased by 1.08 percent compared to September 2022, rising from Rp92,695.00 to Rp93,865.00 per day. Meanwhile, the real wage increased by 1.19 percent.
