2023 Data: Unemployment in Metro City 3.6%

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Metro City reached 3.6% in 2023. This figure is a decrease of 0.74% compared to December 2022, which recorded 4.34%. Compared to December 2021, the figure decreased by 1.4%.

Over the past ten years, the highest open unemployment rate (OUR) was recorded in 2010 at 12.46%, while the lowest was recorded in 2023 at 3.6%.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in this regency/city ranks 251st nationally. The national average open unemployment rate (OUR) in 2023 was 4.6%.

The reduction in the open unemployment rate (OUR) this year can be seen from the number of the workforce and the number of employed people.
