2023 Data: Unemployment in Cirebon Regency Reaches 7.65%

The open unemployment rate (OUR) in Cirebon Regency in December 2023 decreased by 0.46% to 7.65% compared to December 2022. Over the past eight years, the OUR has shown a downward trend, continuing the decline from the previous year.

Over the past five years, the open unemployment rate (OUR) has shown a declining trend. Similarly, the post-COVID-19 pandemic period, starting in March 2020, also contributed to the decrease in the OUR in Cirebon Regency.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the OUR in this regency/city ranks 41st nationally. The national average OUR in 2023 was 4.6%.

The reduction in the open unemployment rate (OUR) this year can be seen from the number of the workforce and the number of employed people. The number of the workforce in Cirebon Regency has shown an upward trend over the past 16 years.
