The average monthly salary for a domestic helper in September 2021 was Rp 425,700.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported a slight increase in the average wages of domestic helpers (ART) in September 2021. Specifically, the average nominal wage was recorded at Rp 425,736 per month, a 0.09% increase from Rp 425,353 in August 2021.

Meanwhile, the average real wage for ART was Rp 399,624 per month, a 0.13% increase from Rp 399,105 in August 2021.

Real wages are calculated by comparing workers' wages to the urban consumer price index (IHK). BPS recorded the IHK for 90 cities in Indonesia at 106.53 in September 2021.

The average nominal wage for construction workers (excluding foremen) saw a slight increase of 0.01% to Rp 91,226 per day in September 2021. The average real wage for construction workers increased by 0.05% to Rp 85,630 per day.

The average nominal wage for female salon workers increased by 0.06% to Rp 29,155 per person. The average real wage for female salon workers increased by 0.1% to Rp 27,367 per person.

In rural areas, the average nominal wage for farm laborers increased by 0.11% to Rp 56,962 per day in September 2021. Meanwhile, the average real wage for farm laborers increased by 0.25% to Rp 52,882 per day in September 2021.
