There Are 5,735 Recipients of the Padat Karya Program in 2025 in Indonesia

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) initiated the Padat Karya Program, a program to massively absorb labor for unemployed people or those affected by disasters, through the development of village infrastructure and public facilities.

Kemnaker noted that this program absorbed 5,735 workers throughout 2025. Of this number, 90% were men and 10% were women.

In 2025, the absorption of labor in the Padat Karya Program was concentrated in Java Island, namely West Java, East Java, and Central Java.

If combined, these three provinces accounted for about 48% of the total recipients of the program throughout 2025.

Here are the numbers of Padat Karya Program recipients in 2025 in all Indonesian provinces, sorted from the highest:

1. West Java: 1,612 people
2. East Java: 713 people
3. Central Java: 434 people
4. Southeast Sulawesi: 279 people
5. Banten: 248 people
6. West Sulawesi: 248 people
7. DKI Jakarta: 217 people
8. NTT: 217 people
9. Bengkulu: 186 people
10. West Sumatra: 186 people
11. Lampung: 155 people
12. Aceh: 124 people
13. Bangka Belitung Islands: 124 people
14. NTB: 124 people
15. West Kalimantan: 93 people
16. Riau: 93 people
17. Central Sulawesi: 93 people
18. South Sumatra: 93 people
19. Bali: 62 people
20. DI Yogyakarta: 62 people
21. South Kalimantan: 62 people
22. North Sulawesi: 62 people
23. North Sumatra: 62 people

Meanwhile, there are eight provinces that were not recorded as absorbing labor through the Padat Karya Program, namely East Kalimantan, Riau Islands, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua, and South Papua.
