Average Daily Income of Online Ride-hailing Drivers in Indonesia Early 2026

Kompas Research and Development surveyed the average income of online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers in Indonesia at the beginning of 2026.

The results showed that 48.8% of ojol respondents earn a gross income of more than Rp75,000 to Rp100,000 per day.

"Even so, this doesn't include operational costs such as food and fuel expenses, which can account for half of their gross income. Therefore, it can be assumed that their monthly income doesn't exceed Rp3 million," said the Kompas Research and Development team in their report on Wednesday (11/2/2026).

There are also ojol driver respondents who earn a gross income of more than Rp100,000-Rp125,000 per day (18.9%).

Followed by those earning more than Rp125,000-Rp150,000 (15.6%), more than Rp150,000-Rp200,000 (11.4%), and more than Rp200,000 per day (5.3%).

The survey also found that the majority of respondents, 69.9%, work as ojol drivers every day of the week.

Most respondents, 33.4%, work for 9-12 hours per day, and 32.2% work more than 12 hours a day.

"This means that the majority of ojol drivers work between 63 and 72 hours per week," said the Kompas Research and Development team.

Kompas Research and Development conducted this survey on 483 online motorcycle taxi driver respondents from 17 provinces in Indonesia.

The data collection was carried out from January 19 to February 2, 2026 through telephone interviews. The survey's margin of error is +/-4.46% and the confidence level is 95% under the condition of simple random sampling.
