BP2MI noted that the majority, or 64%, of PMI during this period were women, while men accounted for only 36%.

Based on their occupations, 71,245 PMI worked as domestic helpers, followed by caregivers (32,224 people), plantation laborers (22,480 people), and general workers (14,680 people).
