According to data from the Ministry of Manpower collected by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2024 there were approximately 909,000 registered job seekers in Indonesia.
This number is approximately 50% lower than in 2023, and slightly lower than in 2022, as shown in the graph.
When broken down by region, the majority of registered job seekers are located on the island of Java.

1. West Java: 296,600 people
2. Central Java: 179,400 people
3. East Java: 76,600 people
4. Banten: 40,000 people
5. West Nusa Tenggara: 36,500 people
6. Jakarta: 35,000 people
7. Lampung: 31,300 people
8. South Sulawesi: 22,500 people
9. North Sumatra: 18,000 people
10. South Sumatra: 17,700 people
