The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisainstek), Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, is under scrutiny due to a protest by his employees.

The demonstration is allegedly due to Satryo's alleged acts of violence and unilateral dismissal of civil servants (ASN) within the Ministry of Diktisainstek.

In response, Satryo denied committing violence against his subordinates. He argued that the demonstration was carried out by a group unwilling to be transferred.

"Protesters usually look for something interesting. The point is, we're cleaning house," said Satryo, as reported by *Katadata*, Monday (20/1/2025).

According to the Corruption Eradication Commission's (KPK) State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN), Satryo reported assets worth Rp46 billion in 2024. This report was submitted to the KPK on December 7, 2024, at the beginning of his tenure as Mendiktisainstek.

The majority of his assets come from land and buildings valued at Rp33.65 billion. This consists of 7 land plots spread across South Jakarta, Tangerang, South Tangerang, and Buleleng.

He also reported cash and cash equivalents worth Rp11 billion and transportation assets worth Rp1.4 billion.

Satryo is recorded as owning four vehicles: a BMW X3 (2016), a BYD Seal (2024), a Toyota Innova Reborn (2020), and a Ford Escape (2011).

Until the end of 2024, this academic from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) is recorded as having no debt.
