The East Java Provincial Government has set the 2025 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) at Rp2,305,985.
This figure represents an increase of Rp140,741, or 6.5%, compared to the 2024 UMP of Rp2,165,244.30.
This is stipulated in East Java Governor's Decree Number: 100.3.3.1/737/KPTS/013/2024 dated December 11, 2024, concerning the 2025 East Java Provincial Minimum Wage.
"The 2025 UMP increase is our effort to maintain business sustainability while striving to improve public welfare," said the Acting Governor of East Java, Adhy Karyono, as reported by the East Java Provincial Government's Kominfo website on Wednesday (11/12/2024).
Adhy explained that the 2025 UMP increase uses a minimum wage calculation formula that considers variables such as economic growth, inflation, and indices, in accordance with regulations set by the central government.
"This is all in accordance with regulations, and we hope that this UMP increase will not only impact an improvement in public welfare but also increase public purchasing power," he said.
