Saiful Mujani Research Consulting (SMRC) conducted a public opinion survey on the performance of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) 10 years in office.

One of the findings is that the majority, or 41.9% of respondents, believe the government frequently disregards the constitution or laws. Even 10% believe this happens always.

Furthermore, 27.2% of respondents assessed that the government rarely disregards these regulations, and only 14.4% considered that it never happens.

"This might reflect the turmoil of our [democracy], including within the Constitutional Court," said SMRC founder Saiful Mujani in a video titled *Autocratization in President Jokowi's 10 Years* uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday (October 15, 2024).

According to Saiful, this public perception stems from the Constitutional Court's decision allowing President Jokowi's eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to run as Prabowo's vice-presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election.

The SMRC survey involved 994 respondents in Indonesia, selected using a multistage random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from October 4-11, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 3.2% at a 95% confidence level.
