2023 Data: Unemployment in Kulonprogo Regency is 2.4%

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released data showing that the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Kulonprogo Regency reached 2.4% in 2023. This figure is a decrease of 0.4% compared to December 2022, which was recorded at 2.8%. Compared to December 2021, the figure decreased by 1.29%.

Over the past ten years, the open unemployment rate (OUR) has shown an upward trend, but four years after the Covid-19 pandemic, starting in 2020, it has contributed to a decrease in the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Kulonprogo Regency.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in this regency/city ranks 348th nationally. The national average open unemployment rate (OUR) in 2023 was 4.6%.

This decrease in the open unemployment rate (OUR) is reflected in the figures for the working population and the labor force published by BPS this year. The labor force in Kulonprogo Regency has decreased over the past three years.
