BPS: Farm Labor Wages Increased by 0.31% in February 2022

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the wages of farm laborers increased in February 2022. The average nominal wage for farm laborers was Rp 57,771 per day in February 2022. This wage increased by 0.31% from the previous month, which was Rp 57,595 per day.

Meanwhile, the average real wage for farm laborers was Rp 52,708 per day. Its growth was the same as the nominal wage, increasing by 0.31% from January 2022, which was Rp 52,542 per day.

For information, the nominal wage of a laborer is the average daily wage received by the laborer as compensation for work performed. Real wages are the comparison between the nominal wage of farm laborers and the rural household consumption index.

Urban laborer wages also increased. The average nominal wage for construction workers increased by 0.34% to Rp 91,994 per day. The average real wage for construction workers increased by 0.36% to Rp 84,979 per day.

Furthermore, the average nominal wage for female hairdressers increased by 0.09% to Rp 29,842 per person. Their average real wage increased by 0.11% to Rp 27,569 per person.

Finally, the average nominal wage for domestic helpers increased by 0.27% to Rp 429,579 per month. Their average real wage increased by 0.29% to Rp 396,827 per month.
