Farm Laborer's Nominal Wage Increased to Rp 57,009 in October 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the average nominal wage for farm laborers in October 2021 was Rp 57,009 per day. This figure increased by 0.08% from the previous month's Rp 56,962 per day. Compared to October 2020, the average nominal wage for farm laborers increased by 2.22%.

Meanwhile, the average real wage for farm laborers was recorded at Rp 52,875 per day last month. This figure decreased slightly by 0.01% from September 2021, which was Rp 52,882 per day. Compared to October 2020, the average real wage for farm laborers increased by 0.22%.

The average nominal wage for construction workers in October 2021 was recorded at Rp 91,290 per day. This figure increased by 0.07% from the previous month's Rp 91,226 per day. It also increased by 0.56% compared to October 2020.

Meanwhile, the average real wage for construction workers reached Rp 85,587 per day last month. This figure increased by 0.05% from September 2021, which was Rp 85,587 per day. Compared to October 2020, the average real wage for construction workers decreased by 1.07%.

Nominal wages are the average daily wages received by workers as compensation for work performed. Real wages, on the other hand, reflect the purchasing power of the income or wages received by workers.
