These are the 10 Most Competitive Programs in the 2023 SNBT, with UNJ's Communication Science Program Ranking Highest!

A gap between the quota of prospective new students prepared by universities and the high number of applicants makes the competition for university entrance exams extremely fierce.

In a press conference on the SNPMB BPPP YouTube channel titled *Results of the 2023 SNBT Selection Path* on Tuesday (20/6/2023), a list of the most competitive study programs (prodi) in the 2023 National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) was presented.

Communication Science at Jakarta State University (UNJ) was recorded as the most competitive program in the 2023 SNBT with a passing rate of only 0.85%.

"It could be that the quota is only five students, with 500 applicants. Therefore, the percentage (of acceptance) is very small," said SNPMB Chairman Mochamad Ashari in the press conference on the Results of the 2023 SNBT Selection Path.

Information Technology at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) followed in second place, with a competitiveness rate of 1.14%. This was followed by Criminology at the University of Indonesia with a passing rate of 1.19%.

Based on the press conference results presented by the 2023 SNBT committee, the distribution of universities with the most competitive programs in 2023 was not limited to Java Island.

Several universities outside Java Island with the highest competitiveness rates include Padang State University, Syiah Kuala University, and North Sumatra University, with percentages as shown in the graph.

5. Digital Business - Sebelas Maret University: 1.38%
6. Systems and Information Technology - Jakarta State University: 1.39%
7. Mining Engineering (NK) - Padang State University: 1.43%
8. Medicine - Gadjah Mada University: 1.43%
9. Information Technology - Gadjah Mada University: 1.44%
10. Dentistry - Diponegoro University: 1.45%
