Singapore Has the Best University in Asia

National University of Singapore (NUS) has been named the best university in Asia. This is based on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2022, which gave the university a total score of 100.

Peking University came in second, scoring 99.5. The university is located in Beijing, China.

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the University of Hong Kong followed, both achieving a total score of 98.7.

Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University followed with scores of 98.3 and 97.8 respectively. Also from China, Fudan University ranked seventh with a score of 97.4.

Meanwhile, Universitas Indonesia (UI) ranked 56th in Asia with a total score of 58.1. Universitas Gadah Mada ranked 59th in Asia with a score of 57.3.

QS is a provider of analytical services for the global higher education sector. Eleven key indicators were used in QS's assessment, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research quality and productivity, internationalization, and diversity of international collaboration of each institution.
