UGM, Indonesia's University with the Highest Number of Monthly Website Visitors

Websites are crucial digital assets for organizations to disseminate information. RevoU research indicates that Gadjah Mada University (UGM) has the highest number of monthly website visitors, with 6.1 million.

RevoU notes that UGM and Universitas Indonesia (UI) are in fierce competition in this ranking. UI's website has the second-highest number of monthly visitors, with 5 million.

Binus University ranks third, with 4.3 million monthly website visitors. Following are the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Brawijaya University (UB), with 3.9 million and 3.5 million visitors respectively.

According to SimilarWeb data, the average time spent on the websites of the top five universities with the most monthly visitors (UGM, UI, Binus, ITB, and UB) is 5.5 minutes. Several pages on the UGM, UI, and ITB websites receive significant organic traffic (traffic from visitors who arrive at the website through organic search results, not paid advertisements).

On the UGM website, the "Meaning of the UGM Logo" page receives high organic traffic, exceeding 1,200 visits. On the UI website, the Postgraduate Master's page receives over 10,000 organic visits, and on the ITB website, the Faculties and Schools page receives over 5,000.

Of the top 10 universities with the most monthly website visitors, eight are public universities. The other two are private universities: Binus University and Telkom University.

RevoU conducted research on 30 public and private universities in Indonesia. This research used data collected in March 2021 from various sources, including SimilarWeb, Ahrefs, Socialblade, and the official social media channels of each university.
