126,000 Students Pass 2024 SNBP, Most from East Java

According to data from the National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), 126,421 students passed the 2024 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) to enter state universities (PTN).

Meanwhile, the available academic PTN capacity this year reached 132,450 participants.

"This means there is an unfulfilled quota. So, the quota is 132,000, and the total number of those who passed is 126,421," said SNPMB Chairman Ganefri in a virtual press conference on Tuesday (26/3/2024).

This year, East Java is the province with the highest number of SNBP passers in academic PTNs. Out of a total of 90,292 participants from East Java, 20,237 were accepted.

The province has a tightness rate of 22.41%. This means that for every 100 applicants, about 22 are accepted.

West Java is second, with 14,453 SNBP 2024 participants passing. The total number of applicants was 108,701, with a tightness rate of 13.30%.

Central Java completes the top three with 11,929 successful participants. There were 82,757 applicants in this region, with a tightness rate of 14.41%.
