List of Top High Schools Based on University Entrance Exam Results

MH Thamrin State Senior High School (SMA Negeri Unggulan MH Thamrin) has been ranked as the best high school in Indonesia by the Indonesian National College Entrance Exam Agency (Lembaga Tes Masuk Perguruan Tinggi/LTMPT). This is due to the school achieving the highest average Scholastic Potential Test (Tes Potensi Skolastik/TPS) score in the 2020 Computer-Based Written Examination (Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer/UTBK), namely 601.683.

MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong came in second with an average TPS score of 599.654. Following are SMA Unggul Del with an average TPS score of 598.523, SMAN 8 Jakarta with 594.865, and SMAN 5 Surabaya with 594.605.

SMAN 1 BPK Penabur Jakarta and SMAN 1 BPK Penabur Bandung also achieved high scores, with 594.437 and 592.52 respectively. Meanwhile, SMA Dian Harapan had an average TPS score of 589.811, SMAN 1 Yogyakarta 588.002, and SMA Katolik St. Louis 1 587.81.

LTMPT calculated the average TPS score for each school based on the scores of participants from that school. Schools included in the ranking had a minimum of 20 participants in the 2020 UTBK.

A total of 21,302 schools participated in the UTBK last year. However, only 6,319 schools met LTMPT's criteria and were included in this ranking.
