Top 10 Most Popular Study Programs in the 2024 SNBT, UI Leading

The National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPBM) reported that there were 785,058 applicants for the 2024 National Selection Based on Test (SNBT). Of that number, only 231,104 participants were declared successful.

“State universities with the most applicants are still dominated by Universitas Indonesia (UI), with 102,000 applicants,” said the Chairman of the SNPBM Executive Committee, Ganefri, in an online press conference on Thursday (June 14, 2024).

Specifically, 102,197 participants listed UI as their first, second, third, or fourth choice in this year's SNBT.

Next, there is Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) with a total of 101,449 applicants and Universitas Gadah Mada (UGM) with 91,926 applicants.

Here is a complete list of the top 10 state universities with the most applicants in the 2024 SNBT:

1. Universitas Indonesia (UI): 102,197 applicants

3. Universitas Gadah Mada (UGM): 91,926 applicants
4. Universitas Diponegoro (Undip): 85,734 applicants
5. Universitas Brawijaya (UB): 78,802 applicants
6. Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad): 76,071 applicants
7. Universitas Airlangga (Unair): 70,641 applicants
8. Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU): 61,366 applicants
9. Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ): 60,278 applicants
10. IPB University: 57,590 applicants

“For those who did not pass, we emphasize that you should not give up hope, stay enthusiastic; there are still processes for entering state universities through independent selections at state universities and also seats available at Private Higher Education Institutions (PTS),” said the Deputy Chairman 2 of the Indonesian State University Rector's Council, Eduart Wolok.
