Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) conducted a post-election survey (exit poll) regarding women's preferred political parties in the 2024 General Election.

The results show that the Gerindra Party received the most support from female respondents, at 17.4%.

This was followed by the PDI-P, chosen by 13.8% of female respondents, and Golkar, with 11.8%.

"Only these three parties had electability above 10% among women," wrote Kompas Litbang researcher MB Dewi Pancawati in her report on Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Meanwhile, female respondents who chose PKS, PKB, Nasdem, Demokrat, PAN, and PPP each accounted for less than 10%.

Furthermore, 5.3% of female respondents chose other parties, 1.6% did not vote, and 11.4% did not know or did not answer.

This survey also captures the dynamics of women's voting patterns in the election.

Previously, in Kompas Litbang's periodic surveys throughout 2023, women's votes mostly went to the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri, namely the PDI-P.

However, in the post-election survey, majority support from women shifted to Gerindra.

Litbang Kompas did not specify the number or proportion of female respondents involved in this survey.

The Kompas Litbang post-election survey involved a total of 7,863 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method across 38 Indonesian provinces.

The survey was conducted on February 14, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 1.1% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
