Indonesia's Indikator Politik calculated the popularity of several names frequently mentioned in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres 2024) race.

Of the 14 names, Prabowo Subianto was the most recognizable figure, known to 96.6% of respondents. Meanwhile, 83.7% of those who knew him expressed a positive opinion of the Gerindra Party chairman.

Second was Anies Baswedan, with a recognition rate of 90.5% and a positive opinion rating of 79.1%.

Third was Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, known to 83.8% of respondents and liked by 86.2%.

Fourth was Ridwan Kamil, known to 82.7% and liked by 88.7% of respondents.

Indikator Politik noted that positive opinions of Prabowo increased, while those of Ganjar remained stagnant and those of Anies weakened. According to the report, this is consistent with the pattern of changes in presidential candidate support.

"Similarly, for vice-presidential candidates, Erick Thohir and AHY showed an increase in positive opinions, which is also consistent with the increase in support for both, especially for Erick Thohir," wrote Indikator Politik in its report.

Respondents included all Indonesian citizens with voting rights in general elections—those aged 17 or older, or those who were married at the time of the survey. The sample was drawn using multistage random sampling.

The research on the popularity of these 14 names was conducted from February 9-16, 2023, with a sample size of 1,220 people. The sample came from all provinces, proportionally distributed. The margin of error (MoE) is ±2.9% at a 95% confidence level.

Selected respondents were interviewed face-to-face by trained interviewers.
