Kompas Research and Development conducted a survey on the electability of political parties (parpol) receiving the most votes from female voters.

The results show that 20.5% of female respondents chose the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) as their preferred party.

"Besides the large number of voters, the enthusiasm of female voters in participating in the democratic process has the potential to be an asset for the party to increase support," wrote the Kompas Research and Development team in their report.

Compared to the Kompas Research and Development survey in January 2023, PDIP's electability increased slightly by 0.6%, from 19.9% to 20.5% in May 2023.

Meanwhile, the second most preferred party among female respondents was the Gerindra Party. Prabowo Subianto's party received votes from 16.3% of respondents.

"The electability of these two parties aligns with the electability of their respective presidential candidates according to the choices of female voters, where the gap between Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto is also narrowing," added the Kompas Research and Development team.

The Democratic Party and Golkar Party received votes with proportions of 8.3% and 7.3%, respectively. The remaining parties received less than 6% of the vote, as shown in the attached graph.

This survey was conducted on 1,200 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method across 38 provinces in Indonesia.

The data was collected from April 29 to May 10, 2023, through face-to-face interviews, with a margin of error of approximately 2.83% and a 95% confidence level.
