College KIP Recipient Time Limits

The government launched an educational assistance program for students in the form of the Indonesian Smart Card for College (KIP-Kuliah). This program will guarantee the continuation of studies for high-achieving students with limited economic means. Benefits include exemption from university entrance exam registration fees, tuition fees, and a living allowance of Rp 700,000 per month.

While guaranteeing tuition fee exemption, this program has a maximum duration for beneficiaries. The maximum duration for the regular program is eight semesters for undergraduate and four-year diploma programs. For three-year diploma programs, it's six semesters; four-year diploma programs, four semesters; and two-year diploma programs, two semesters.

The maximum duration for professional programs in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine is four semesters. Other professional programs have a maximum duration of two semesters for nursing, pharmacy, and teaching.
