Number of Schools in 38 Indonesian Provinces, Odd Semester 2025/2026

Based on data from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), there were 443,703 schools in Indonesia in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.

This figure includes schools at the kindergarten (TK), elementary (SD), junior high (SMP), senior high (SMA), vocational high (SMK), special needs (SLB) levels, as well as other primary and secondary education units.

Cumulatively, the highest number of schools is in East Java, while the lowest is in South Papua.
