Number of Educational Foundations in Indonesian Provinces, June 2025

According to data from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), there were 142,370 educational foundations in Indonesia as of 2:20 PM WIB on June 26, 2025.

Kemendikdasmen defines educational foundations as institutions that provide both formal and non-formal education.

In Indonesia, the presence of educational foundations is concentrated on the island of Java, particularly in West Java, East Java, and Central Java.

1. West Java: 27,146 foundations

2. East Java: 21,032 foundations

3. Central Java: 15,673 foundations

4. North Sumatra: 7,989 foundations

5. Banten: 6,251 foundations

6. South Sulawesi: 4,742 foundations

7. South Sumatra: 4,451 foundations

8. Jakarta: 4,392 foundations

9. Lampung: 4,287 foundations

10. West Nusa Tenggara: 3,930 foundations
