Gadjah Mada University (UGM) achieved the highest Scientific Journal Information System (SINTA) score among all Indonesian state universities (PTN) as of January 15, 2024.
SINTA is a portal operated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) that measures performance in science and technology, encompassing researcher and author performance, journal performance, and the performance of science and technology institutions.
The SINTA score is calculated based on the number of journal and non-journal documents, citations, cited documents, and citations per researcher published in Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Garuda.
Based on these indicators, UGM achieved a SINTA score of 3,703,803 points in early 2024. This Yogyakarta-based PTN has 3,361 researchers, 296 departments, and 81 journals published on the SINTA channel.
Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) ranked second with a SINTA score of 2,517,915 points, followed by Universitas Indonesia (UI) with 2,431,774 points.
For information, the SINTA score is one of the indicators of scientific publication performance in Indonesia used by Kemendikbudristek.
