Top 10 Most Popular Science and Technology Programs at UGM in the 2021 SBMPTN

Gadjah Mada University (UGM) is one of the best universities in Indonesia. Unsurprisingly, many students are interested in studying at this university located in Yogyakarta.

In the 2020 Joint Selection for State Universities Entrance (SBMPTN), UGM was ranked as the most popular university. However, last year UGM dropped one rank below Universitas Brawijaya (UB) as the most sought-after university.

UGM offers various study programs that are highly sought after by students during the SBMPTN. In the science and technology (saintek) field, there are 61 study programs at the university.

Based on data from the Higher Education Entrance Test Institution (LTMPT), medicine was the most popular science and technology program at UGM in the 2021 SBMPTN. A total of 3,666 students applied to this program.

Next, the pharmacy program attracted 2,140 students. Then, the number of applicants for the civil engineering program was 1,365 students last year.

Furthermore, the number of applicants for the information technology program was recorded at 1,270 students. Meanwhile, the number of applicants for the nutrition and health program was 1,203 students.
