10 Most Competitive Departments at the University of Indonesia (UI) in the 2021 SBMPTN

Registration for the Joint Selection for Entrance to State Universities (SBMPTN) was open from Wednesday, March 23, 2022, to April 15, 2022. University of Indonesia is one of the most popular campuses among prospective students.

The opportunity to enter a state university, including UI, will certainly be carefully considered by prospective students. Several departments at UI had the highest competitiveness in the 2021 SBMPTN.

Competitiveness is the percentage of the number of available spots compared to the number of applicants in a university entrance pathway. The smaller the percentage, the higher the competition. Conversely, the larger the percentage, the lower the competition.

Communication Studies was the department at UI with the highest competitiveness. The number of applicants for Communication Studies at UI in the 2021 SBMPTN was 1,978 students, while the capacity for 2022 was 30 students. This means that the competitiveness percentage in that department was recorded at 1.06%.

Korean Language and Culture was in second place with a competitiveness rate of 1.22%. Then, International Relations was in third place with a percentage of 1.34%.
