Average Years of Schooling in Bantul up to Grade 10 in 2023

The average years of schooling (AYS) for residents aged 25 and over in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, reached 9.79 years in 2023.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the AYS for residents in this area is below the average for Yogyakarta Special Region Province, which reached 9.83 years in 2023.

The AYS for Bantul residents increased by 0.2 years (2.09%) compared to the previous year, which was 9.59 years. Meanwhile, over the past five years, the AYS has increased by 0.44 years (4.71%).

This AYS indicates that the average Bantul resident only attends school up to the ninth grade. This AYS is better than the national average AYS of 8.77 years in 2023.
