Latest Food Prices in East Java: Onion and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (12/12/2024) at 12:52 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, pure beef, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp690 (3.4%) to Rp21,010 per kg. The price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most sharply, by Rp100 (1.05%) to Rp9,430 per kg.
