Medium-Sized Red Onion Prices in Traditional Markets April 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) dashboard at 07:45 WIB, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets of South Sumatra province was observed to rise by Rp1,000 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp39.25 thousand per kg.

Meanwhile, compared to the price a month ago, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp42.4 thousand per kg.

In the last three months, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets of South Sumatra has increased by 28.69% from the previously recorded Rp30.5 thousand per kg.

The record increase for daily medium-sized red onion prices in traditional markets of this province was previously recorded in April 2024 at 30.37%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in October 2018 at -21.84%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in South Sumatra show that five commodities have decreased and 18 others have increased. The staple foods with price decreases are Low Grade I Rice, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Low Grade II Rice and Medium Grade I Rice.

7. Granulated Sugar per Kg Rp17.5 thousand per kg (unchanged)
8. Rice per Kg Rp14.95 thousand per kg (down 7.14%)
9. Grade 2 Beef per Kg Rp157.95 thousand per kg (up 13.06%)
