Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion, Rice, and Egg Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (11/7/2024) at 13.54 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are broiler chicken, red chilies, granulated sugar, curly red chilies, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, pure beef, premium rice, shallots, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,090 (2.46%) to Rp45,310 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp640 (2.0%) to Rp31,440 per kg.
