Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Thursday, March 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (21/3/2024) at 12:02 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), shallots, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, red chili peppers, farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase of Rp1,560 (4.7%) to Rp34,720 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn saw the lowest decrease of Rp800 (11.27%) to Rp6,300 per kg.
