Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Cooking Oil Prices Fall (Thursday, March 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (7/3/2024) at 10:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 18 commodities increased in price and 1 commodity decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, broiler chicken eggs, Indian mackerel, bulk wheat flour, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, only bulk cooking oil decreased in price compared to yesterday.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp1,380 (2.22%) to Rp63,490 per kg. Bulk cooking oil prices decreased the least, by Rp10 (0.06%) to Rp15,610 per liter.
