Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Rice and Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (20/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, iodized fine salt, broiler chicken meat, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, granulated sugar, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp130 (1.14%) to Rp11,490 per kg. Shallots experienced the largest price drop of Rp510 (1.63%) to Rp30,840 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on July 20, 2024, at 12:19 WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,570 per kg (up 0.06%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,810 per kg (down 0.42%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,290 per kg (down 0.89%)
9. Shallots: Rp30,840 per kg (down 1.63%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,340 per kg (up 0.38%)
