The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported that state tax revenue reached Rp199.44 trillion by February 2022. This figure represents a 36.5% increase compared to the same period last year, which amounted to Rp146.1 trillion.

State tax revenue realization in February 2022 reached only 15.8% of the 2022 State Budget (APBN) target, which totals Rp1,265 trillion.

In the first two months of 2022, the largest tax revenue came from non-oil and gas income tax (PPh), amounting to Rp110.2 trillion or 17.4% of the target.

Value-added tax (PPN) and luxury goods sales tax (PPnBm) revenue reached Rp74.2 trillion, or 13.4% of the target.

Oil and gas income tax (PPh migas) revenue reached Rp13.5 trillion, or 28.6% of the target. Meanwhile, revenue from land and building tax (PBB) and other taxes amounted to Rp1.5 trillion, or 5.1% of the target.

According to Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, the performance of tax revenue in the first two months of this year was supported by economic recovery.

“This is evident from the manufacturing PMI which remains expansive, high commodity prices, and the still-good performance of exports and imports,” said Sri Mulyani in the APBN KiTa press conference on Monday (March 28).
