Food Prices in Central Java Today: Shallot Prices Up, Red Bird's Eye Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (July 25, 2025) at 10:57 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include shallots, farmer-level corn, frozen buffalo meat (imported), consumption salt, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as mackerel, large red chili, Minyakita, pure beef, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,240 (2.55%) to Rp49,833 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp1,311 (3.19%) to Rp39,735 per kg.
