Super I Grade Rice Prices in Jakarta Are the Highest Nationally (Friday, February 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 16,060 per kg for premium grade I rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, February 9, 2024. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 16,010 per kg.

The daily price of premium grade I rice in modern markets in DKI Jakarta was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 20,250 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of premium grade I rice in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at Rp 13,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Central Kalimantan, the price of premium grade I rice was Rp 19,450 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of premium grade I rice was Rp 19,250 per kg in West Sumatra, Rp 18,850 per kg in Banten, and Rp 18,700 per kg in North Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, 18 provinces had premium grade I rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for premium grade I rice were Central Sulawesi, South Kalimantan, and South Sumatra.
