Top 10 Provinces with the Highest Red Chili Prices (Friday, March 31, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of large red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 80,070 per kg as of Friday, March 31, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 78,660 per kg.

The daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in Papua was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 116,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of large red chilies in this province is higher; previously recorded at Rp 45,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Riau Islands, large red chilies were sold at Rp 115,600 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of large red chilies in South Sumatra was Rp 106,000 per kg, South Kalimantan Rp 105,400 per kg, and Riau Rp 101,950 per kg.

Meanwhile, 14 provinces had large red chili sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for large red chilies were West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
