The daily price of premium quality rice at Modern Markets in South Sumatra Province has increased by 11.2% over the past month.

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 4:23 PM WIB, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in South Sumatra Province has not changed compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp12,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 11.2% from the previous trading price of Rp12,500 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2025 with an increase of 1,012%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in February 2025 with a decrease of -90%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sumatra show five commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Inferior Quality I Rice, Rice, Quality 1 Beef, Inferior Quality II Rice, and Medium Quality I Rice.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in South Sumatra Province:

1. Garlic per kg: Rp52,200 per kg (up 3.98%)
2. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp20,600 per kg (up 0.49%)
3. Medium-sized Shallots per kg: Rp49,700 per kg (unchanged)
4. Inferior Quality I Rice per kg: Rp15,000 per kg (down 7.69%)
5. Green Chili per kg: Rp94,500 per kg (up 110.47%)
6. Shallots per kg: Rp49,700 per kg (unchanged)
7. Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp17,500 per kg (unchanged)
8. Rice per kg: Rp14,950 per kg (down 7.14%)
9. Quality 2 Beef per kg: Rp157,950 per kg (up 13.06%)
10. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp31,000 per kg (up 16.1%)
11. Beef per kg: Rp171,950 per kg (up 1.06%)
12. Quality 1 Beef per kg: Rp185,950 per kg (down 7.28%)
13. Medium-sized Garlic per kg: Rp52,200 per kg (up 3.98%)
