Food Prices Today, January 30, in Central Java: Rice, Chili, and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) as of Friday (January 30, 2026) at 15:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include bulk palm cooking oil, large red chili, red onion, imported soybeans, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp2,037 (3.78%) to Rp55,870 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili dropped most sharply by Rp240 (0.85%) to Rp28,019 per kg.
