Price of Medium-Sized Red Onions in Traditional Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets in West Sulawesi province was recorded at Rp42,350. This price increased by Rp250 compared to the previous day.

Meanwhile, compared to the price a month ago, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets has risen from the previously recorded Rp21,900.

Over the past three months in West Sulawesi, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets has increased by 2.05% from the previously traded price of Rp41,500.

The record increase in the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2017 with a 40.91% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2020 with an 18.32% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in West Sulawesi today showed that three commodities decreased while 15 others increased. The sembako with price decreases are Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, and Red Chili.
