Current Food Prices in Central Java: Beef and Rice Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (23/9/2024) at 16.51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, Indian mackerel, red chilies, dry soybean (import), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, pure beef, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,290 (3.68%) to Rp36,380 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp480 (2.06%) to Rp22,860 per kg.
