Indonesia's Food Prices, Thursday (February 20th): What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (20/02/2025) at 10:39 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, pure beef, shallots, premium rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), table salt, farmer-level corn, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,912 (4.38%) to Rp69,377 per kg. Milkfish saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp568 (1.69%) to Rp33,119 per kg.
