Latest Food Prices in North Sumatra: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down (Tuesday, January 23, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (23/1/2024) at 11:24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, chicken meat, garlic bulbs, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish surged the highest, by Rp29,530 (381.03%), reaching Rp37,280 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the most, by Rp4,170 (10.3%), reaching Rp36,320 per kg.

7. Curly Red Chilies: Rp34,490 per kg (down 1.85%)
