Current Food Prices in Banten Region: Rice, Chili, and Oil Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (28/5/2024) at 15.56 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, medium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp7,280 (16.26%), reaching Rp52,060 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp920 (14.94%), reaching Rp5,240 per kg.

8. Mackerel: Rp36,450 per kg (up 0.83%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,610 per kg (up 0.45%)
